Bird Art Fun

This week we have been making bird art! It was lot's of fun.

We had to colour it in with pastels.

Mr Cooper was teaching the class how to draw korus and bird's. He told us to try and not smudge our work.

Fun Skiing Day!

Skiing in the snow

 Last weekend I was lucky enough to go to the mountain with my Mum, Colin and some family friends. At the snow Colin, Oscar, Rob and me did some skiing. Oscar and I went from the top of the snow ramp to the bottom of the ramp. I fell over quite a lot and it hurt! Colin and my mum were on a snowboard. Even my mum fell over too. I had heaps of fun skiing!

In Room 18 we've been learning about similes.
Here are some examples of similes that I wrote.

My dad is like a star in the sky. He's always shining bright in the night sky watching over me. 

Colin is like a clown. He always makes me laugh and smile.

My mum is like the sun. She always warms me up with her cuddles.

On Thursday we learnt some different Art skills. 

Here is one of the art skills that we did. It's called shading.

The skill that I enjoyed learning about the most was called hatching.
