I spent lots of time to make this art. Me and my friends Jimmy and Charlie had the idea to do this art. Rippa Rugby

On the 27th of Tuesday 2017 we went to Rippa Rugby my team came fourth place out of all of the schools in Hastings and Havelock North primary. The Kids that were in my team were very nice to each other because we were supporting each other when we got trys and good rips. When won all of our games that we played but we lost one against firmly school. When we played them the had lots of good players and we did too. The people are Me, Noah, Camo, Toby, Jaden, Callan, Kalae, Ruby, Niamh and Emma. In the team all of our players scored Because we were passing to the girls and the boys in our team and that is how we scored and won most of our games.

Maori Hand Games

Hi guys today i'm going to show you and teach you how to do the games that we did at the Maori hand games. We played knuckle bones, the string game, Hae tama tutama and e hipe toitoi. My favourite game was the string game because I love doing the sting tricks and I love making the tricks with the string. One of my challenge's was doing the knuckle bones because we needed to flip our hand around and catch them on our other side of our hand. I had lots of fun when we were at room 6 and 7 doing the Maori Hand games.

Once you are feeling like you can do a back handspring add a little bounce and go back. If you are feeling like you are confident do a big bounce a go back and tuck.

Math WK10/11

I learnt a lot from Mr M and I liked to do the task because I learned a lot from it. It was hard because we had to do a lot because we are stage 6 in math.

I learnt how to use an abacus because I never knew how to use an abacus before.

Problem of the day was challenging because we went up to 30,647 and we had to take away 28,933 and it was hard, But when we were doing it up to the hundreds I got the hang of it and it made it easier. I learned how to subtract big numbers and then I was really good at subtracting. I enjoyed working out all of the math problems and Mr M helped me so I could get the answers right.

• Something I found challenging was:  I learned how to subtract big numbers

I was able to do the task because: I was really focusing

Waka Writing

Here is my waka art it is all about my whanau and what I love. I put a lot of effort into this piece of art. I made it all about me and my family and I drew what I love. I put My two dogs because I love they and they are funny some times and checky. I put NZ in because it stands for my country which is New Zealand. The fam means the family for my family. Fox Fan means Tanner fox fan on youtube. In the bottom left is my scooter and it was a VX6 Team. On the top of the paper it has stars the represent the people that have died in my family. The MT on the paper is my initials that are Mitchell Townsend and there are love hearts around my initials with my family names on them. And I also put youtube on the paper.

And that is what my waka is about.

Stage 6 Math

This week I did a show me about subtraction in stage 6 math with Mr M. I am going to share it on my blog so here it is.

This is my P.E blog post. When we did P.E we did running/sprints, throwing, and jumping.

It was fun because we went for a long time and it was good because we got lots of fitness. I had lots of fun doing this because I like doing running and all that sporty stuff.
We are getting ready for athletics.

My Art 2016

Here is my art it is a piece of art of a giraffe. I chose to do realistic so it looks real. I chose realistic because it looks cool to me and I think that other people will too.
It was challenging to draw the spots and the outline.
I am proud of this art!

Literacy Task

This is my literacy task.
We have been learning to put words that make sense into the blank passes. The first one that I did was very hard because I did not know what to do but then I got better at it.
It is called a cloze activity.

Robotics

Hi guys,
Today I want to show what I've been learning in Rimu Hub.
I've been learning about robots and Rimu Hub have been going to a thing called robotics. We have been learning about robot with a man that builds robots (He knows lots about robots). The first time we went, we got to build a robot. Then our second time we went the robots were all ready made and we got to make them move forwards and backwards and that was fun. On our third visit that we went we got to move them forwards, backwards and we even got to make them turn around. We had to play with the robot setting thing to made it go forward, backward and turn around.

Handball

HANDBALL

Hi guys today I'm blogging this because I want to share my work about Handball. I have been doing a project about Handball and it is fun.

Handball is a sport in the Olympics. It is not the Handball that you play at home with your friends, its much harder to play because you get to run with the ball. There are 2 teams and there are 6 men and one goal keeper. You're not allowed to step into the goal circle. That is not a goal and that is one of the rules of Handball. In 2016 at the Rio Olympics, Handball is being played. I think Handball is a cool sport to play and it is fun because you can ask your friends to play with you. If you want to learn to play handball, you can search it up on YouTube and it will come up. You can click what ever one that you like.

My Learning blog post

In week 2, rimu hub have been learning about the Olympics in Rio. We have been been doing lots for fun tasks last week. All of rimu hub have been learning a lot about the Olympics and the athletes. My favourite task was the one where my group won a packet of lollies! The task was the revising task. (When we won the lollies I was very very happy.) I have been happy because I got to learn about the Olympics for a long time and I love sports. I LOVE LEARNING ABOUT THE OLYMPICS.

My Holiday At The Snow

My Holiday At The Snow

In the holidays I went to the snow with Oscar J and his family. But my two favourite parts were going in the snow and at the climbing walls.

In the snow, it is very very cold and when I went to bed, I needed to wear my onesie and my PJ's. When you are going outside, you have to wear some warm clothes and you do not want to wear summer clothes. You will be freezing, like in the night. 

When you go skiing, it is fun because you can go where ever you want and do what ever you want. I went skiing last year and it was fun because I went to the bottom and I got to go back to the top on the chair lift. When I first learnt to ski, I was nervous but when I got the hang of it, I felt good.

When we were at the climbing walls I went up lots of them. One of the walls had no handles to grab on to, it was dark and I could only see the bottom from where you start from. It was hard because you had to use your back and legs to climb up (but it was safe because you had a harness hooked up to you). When I first went up I was nervous but on my second go I felt good because I knew it wasn't scary.  My favourite wall was one of the green and yellow walls because you had to climb and at the top it curved around and you had to ring the bell.
